Dante Bucci Plays the Hang Drum

Those of you who know me well are familiar with my love of world music. A didgeridoo in 1997. Ullieann pipes a year later. Then, in a yoga ashram, I pick up the harmonium. Recently, I learned to play a djembe. Now? Here's the hang drum:

The hang drum, similar in design to a steel drum, comes from Switzerland. As you can see, I have YouTube to thank for this discovery. Dante Bucci posts solos, but this one's very Web 3.1. Listen as he collaborates with Andi Steil online:

An erhu. Tibetan tingshas. Tuva throat singing. Now this. It's such a unique sound. I'd love to get my hands on one, but the hang drum is very hard to come by. In fact, there are only two hang drum makers in the world. For now, I listen.
